Opening Note

Empty Bottles

I started off empty, but Someone filled me along the way, and ever since then I’ve been pouring into others.

Room 129 — Client Connection Feedback

One of the beautiful things about fragrance is hearing what someone else experiences when they smell it. Through our Client Connections, we’ve been able to hear directly from clients about how Room 129 connects with their memories, preferences, and personal experiences.

Sometimes the fragrance takes them somewhere familiar. Sometimes they simply discover something that feels like them. Either way, these conversations remind us that once a fragrance leaves our hands, the story continues with the person wearing it.

“It was so photo realistic because that was, when growing up, one of my favorite drinks. And it kind of brought me back to when I was younger. So, it was definitely a fragrance that helped me reminisce.”

— Joshua, Room 129 client

“I love it. I do wish it was more potent, but I love it. It’s definitely a fruity/fresh smell, which is what I go for. I don’t like floral at all. I like fruity with a soap. Like, it smells like a fruity soap. So that’s what I like most about it.”

— Shanan, Room 129 client

True craftsmanship

“Everything about this brand shows you the difference between a new luxury fragrance house and a hobbyist. This brand rises to the challenge of daring to be different as a house.”

The Blend — Tell Your Story

No one can tell you your story; it’s something you must do.

Others can help you discover portions of it, but only you can share it with the most authentic retelling.

Don’t let these analytics tell you who you are. Your value can’t be determined by analytics and algorithms.

Don’t get caught in the hype. Figure out how you want to share your story and find someone who can help you tell it, whether it’s through fragrance, art, photography, film, dance, or whatever you choose.

Just don’t let someone else narrate away your nuance.

Community Connection

We just had the pleasure of conducting an interview with the House of Iyrah founder, Samira M. We were able to hear her story regarding how she was the “nose” for her mother’s fragrance collection and how venturing into the world of fragrance has taught her how to cultivate patience.
