Knowledge is a tool that can be used to bring liberty, advancement, and prosperity. When it is used constructively, it can bring forth much healing — similar to knowing how certain ingredients work together to produce a desired effect, or even understanding how a specific packaging concept will speak to the end user.

The Blend — Luxury Client Types

People use the word “luxury” loosely, but there are different types of luxury consumers — and knowing who you’re speaking to changes how you serve them.

The Patrician values discretion, heritage, quality, and understatement. They don’t need loud branding — they want craftsmanship, consistency, and trust.

The Poseur values visibility and social signaling. Packaging, presentation, and perceived status matter, because luxury is often experienced publicly.

The Parvenu is newly entering luxury and is learning the codes. They’re passionate, curious, and often looking for guidance — not just a product.

At The Taliaferro, we serve all three intentionally — through craft, presentation, and education — because luxury isn’t one lane… it’s a language.

Community Connection

We’re expanding our custom perfume offerings, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to teach and share the craft. Most recently, we were honored to instruct a group of high school teenagers — helping them learn about fragrance and create their own scents in a comfortable classroom setting with their friends.
