Welcome back to The Top Note — now transitioning into our monthly fragrance letter.

Opening Note

It’s been a little while, but yours truly is still here.

My heart is always full of content, but I’m more focused on the content being of value and having actual heart attached to it rather than just pushing things out, so please excuse me for my brief silence.

Silence can be interpreted as noise in some circles, depending on the interpreter.

So we are back at it, but in a different cadence.
Different rhythm, same song.

Thank you for your love and loyalty.

Featured Fragrance: Reparations

Reparations Fragrance

Simply put, Reparations is one of the most elegant and poetic purchases you can make in conjunction with the constantly debated topic of reparations for Blacks in America.

This scent is a subtly sweet and metallic aldehyde that captivates with a gentle pull on the heart.

This fragrance is part of our Juneteenth Collection, where we release a new scent every year for Juneteenth. Reparations was the second release from this collection, and we look forward to more clients experiencing this fragrance, as well as the others from the collection.

“Cicely Tyson fragrance is top tier of fragrances”

Cicely Tyson fragrance is top tier of fragrances.

I run it up against my tried and true Versace Yellow Diamond. I believe it's a little too mature for my age group, but I buy it for my mother. She really enjoys this perfume as well; that's why you have a long-standing customer.

The Blend — The Art of Perfume

Let’s talk about the art of perfume — the actual art element of it.

I really love art and artsy people of all different types. You can’t put an artist into a box, but with some thought, you can develop or locate a system to categorize their themes.

If we were to categorize our brand artistry ourselves, it would be: elegant, clean, sophisticated, yet meaningful.

Whenever we design a fragrance, we start at the end and work backward toward the beginning.

Our goal is to create a story.
A moment in time.
Something divine, beautiful, and lovely.

Community Connection

I want to give a special shout out to the Global Fragrance Convention, which is being put together by Clara Igwala-Anumege — a lifelong fragrance lover, collector, and professional event curator with years of experience producing festivals and large-scale community experiences across the Southern United States.
