Community · Luxury · Art · Perfume

Welcome back to The Top Note — your weekly fragrance letter. This week, we’re reflecting on first moments, independence, and the freedom to evolve.

Opening Note

First times can be some of the best times.

Some remember their first kiss.
Others remember their first diss.

Some remember their first love letter.
Others remember their first ugly sweater.

Some remember their first love.
Others remember their first “last hug.”

In a world of firsts, don’t get stuck looking in the past.
The first doesn’t have to be the last…

— yours truly, HT

Featured Fragrance: Independence

Independence Fragrance

Independence was the first official launch from our Juneteenth Collection back in 2021. Since Juneteenth was commemorated as a national holiday that same year, we decided to release a new scent every Juneteenth as a way to co-celebrate.

This fragrance was designed to capture the richly layered yet gentle driving force of the persevering Black man and woman. It opens with the sparkling character of the Black woman and settles into the strength and flavorful essence of the Black man.

Main Notes: Citrus Notes, Aldehyde Notes, Agarwood, Sandalwood, Vanilla

Client Spotlight

“Calling all single women to buy this now! It’s no wonder I connect so well with this scent because it embodies both male and female — the duality of being in love and partnership. It’s a fresh, clean scent that makes me feel clean all over — and my braids too. I recommend this scent for all single women to be found by their purpose partner! Get this now.”

— Mary

The Blend — Fragrance Personality

Many people don’t realize they have a fragrance personality. While preferences can be shaped by packaging, pre-approval, or past memories, understanding your general scent profile provides a helpful point of reference — not an absolute rule.

Knowing your fragrance personality allows you to explore with intention rather than assumption, helping scent become a form of self-awareness rather than habit.
