Remembering the decorated street lights on Bloomfield Ave.

I remember, as a kid around eight or so, always looking forward to the Christmas holidays because of the lights and sweets—and of course, the gifts.

One of the most subtly pleasurable moments for me was strolling down Bloomfield Ave in Montclair, NJ, seeing the street lights and traffic poles lined up with bright Christmas lights.

It brought joy to my heart and made my heart smile—something that still happens to this day.

While I don’t stroll down that same street anymore during the holidays, I always look forward to towns decorating their main shopping districts during the holidays.

When we have our retail store one day, you can expect to see a gentle nod to this joyful pastime of mine.
